One step at a time

Nikki and Nicole guessed it right.
Ellen had an interesting answer :)
If you haven't read hers go and read it, she cracks me up.

I went rock climbing! (Indoor)
I was a little hesitant
My family is not blessed with upper body strength
and I thought that is what you need to do this particular activity.
That is not the case. It takes a lot of core muscles.
Which I still lack but it was still do-able.
My dear friends Tyson and Scott go regularly and have their own equipment
So they invited Tori and I to go along and give it a whirl.
We got our lessons and up I went
It was so fun and surprisingly easy.
Well...some of the climbs were.
They have them scaled to experience and some were harder than others.
But it was fun and I'm glad that I can do it!
Yay for trying new things.
There are no pictures of me actually climbing but these were taken afterwards.
Trust me, I did climb.

Beginning of a great tradition

I know Christmas is long past but whatever
this is my blog.

For Christmas I decided this year to do something that I have always wanted to do
And since I money has been tight, it was perfect!
(Not enough money to give all my friends presents.)
I have always wanted to throw a dinner party like they do in the movies
You know the parties that I talk about;
where people come dressed up and eat a "fancy" dinner and just enjoy being with one another
So I invited 7 of my closest friends (since I have 8 chairs)
and gave them a present that they will remember.
With the help of my mom I gave my friends a great dinner
The menu:
Appetizer - Caprese salad on a stick
Salad - Mixed greens with strawberries and blackberries
Entree - Herded pork tenderloin, roasted potatoes and roasted asparagus
Dessert - White chocolate mousse with milk chocolate filled raspberries
Delicious!!
Here are some of the pictures from the night
Table setting

Ryan, Yours Truly and Dave
We were waiting for the rest of the peeps

The amazing girls that I love
Ellen, Kristen and Tori

Yours Truly and Tyson

The yumminess that is dessert

The boys that I love dearly
Troy, Ryan, Dave and Tyson

It was an amazing night
We chatted, took pictures and played games into the night
They were even sweethearts and helped me clean up
even though it was my gift to them and I didn't want them to lift a finger
These people are amazing and have been there for me in some sort of way.
They all have been that shoulder to cry on and made me laugh.
Love you all so much!
